Prime Ministerial endorsement of work of Conservative-led Rushmoor Borough Council

Prime Minister David Cameron met Rushmoor Leader Peter Moyle, MP Sir Gerald Howarth and Mayor Diane Bedford, Chief Executive Andrew Lloyd and gave his backing to the council's work for local residents.

Speaking at the Farnborough Airshow David Cameron congratulated Rushmoor on freezing council tax for five years, improving local services, investing in town centres and working well with local businesses. He praised Rushmoor as a model for other councils to follow. 

Cllr Peter Moyle said: 'We are delighted with this endorsement from the Prime Minister. We are determined to go on delivering for our residents, keeping council tax low and delivering excellent services. "

Sir Gerald who made the introductions to the Prime Minister said:  “I know the Prime Minister was very pleased to hear about the way in which Rushmoor under Conservative control is delivering excellent value for money to residents by freezing council tax”
