Sir Gerald supports local constituent on Paris charity run

Sir Gerald has lent his support to Aldershot constituent Mike Traylen and his friend George Clode for their charity run, which will last a staggering 11 days and cover 180 miles.  On 8th October Mike will run from St. Pauls Cathedral in London to Notre Dame in Paris.  The aim of this run is to raise money for the charity Action Against Cancer.

Action Against Cancer funds the development of cures for cancer at Imperial College, Hammersmith Hospital, led by world-renowned oncologist, Professor Justin Stebbing.  The groundbreaking programmes which they fund, focus on developing new diagnostics and treatments to improve the survival prospects and quality of life for millions of cancer sufferers worldwide.

Sir Gerald said “I am delighted to support Mike’s run for a fantastic charity.  He is running for a great cause and aims to raise £10,000 to improve the quality of cancer patients’ lives and help find a cure for this terrible illness.  Mike has my full support and I wish him and George all the very best for the run.”
