Cllr Peter Crerar
Councillor for Manor Park Ward
Peter sits as a Councillor on Rushmoor Borough Council representing the residents of Manor Park Ward in Aldershot, first elected for that ward in May 2003, and has lived in Manor Park Ward since August 2002.
Previously, Peter represented Coombe Ward on The Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames from May 1998 to May 2002, having first stood in the Hillhead Ward at the Glasgow City Council elections in 1995. Peter has been a councillor for most of his adult life being firts elected as a councillor in his twenties after serving on the students representative council at Kingston University.
Peter is a Chartered Architect and works for an international interior design practice in Central London. Previously Peter has worked as a set designer for film and television. As a London commuter, Peter understands the importance of Aldershot Station, that is located in Manor Park Ward. Peter lives next to Manor Park itself (which his council ward is named after) with his wife Norma.
At Rushmoor, Peter sits on the Development Management Committee and the Leisure and Youth Policy and Review Panel.
At the 2005 General Election, Peter stood for parliament at Rutherglen & Hamilton West.
He is also Secretary of the South Aldershot Conservative Branch.
Peter was Deputy Mayor of Rushmoor from May 2011 to May 2012 and then Mayor of Rushmoor from May 2012 to May 2013.
